This long weekend marked ten years since I finished treatment for breast cancer. A lot has changed and I am grateful for these bonus years. I am remarried to a wonderful man and my family has grown to include stepchildren, son and daughter-in-laws and many grandchildren. I have a new career as a children’s book author and that has blessed and challenged me in many ways. In the last ten years I have also grieved the loss of two children. God knows the number of our days. We are not promised tomorrow and I am grateful for each new day. So, instead of going out, I am writing a new book because I can think of no better way to celebrate life than to be like my Father and create something new out of nothing!
