The Gatekeeper’s Daughter: Cavern of Light is a middle-grade fantasy where a young girl named Maira discovers a legendary cavern. Although she confides in only her closest friends, she soon finds the secret betrayed. Maira and her friends must find a way to protect the sea and save their people.

As we progress ever closer to the publication date for The Gatekeeper’s Daughter: Cavern of Light, I am looking for the best way to keep everyone updated on events, pre-orders, and news.

The following are a few ideas on getting this book to as many middle graders as possible. Please chime in if you feel I’m missing something!

First, I am asking everyone who subscribes to this website to also sign up for my newsletter. Less than half of you are getting my newsletter which is where I have been keeping subscribers updated.

I send out a newsletter every few months. You may also receive a few extra emails when new books are released.

Second, I would like to compile an email list of people who would be interested in becoming part of a launch team.

You might be wondering what you’d be signing up for and that is really up to you and your comfort level. If you have a blog or social media presence, you could share a post or publish your own. If you have a podcast or magazine, you could feature the book. Or you could simply tell your friends and family about it.

Third, I would love to find a way to increase reviews when the book comes out. Reviews are such a great way to help more readers find the book. This is something I have struggled with over the years and I need a lot of help!
