March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day and this year’s rallying cry is We Decide! People with Down Syndrome all over the world are declaring on this day that they have the right to fully participate in making their own decisions.
My second novel, A Spark Of Faith, will be out this spring and the main character is a young man struggling with things most of us can relate to: high school, bullies, dating, learning to drive and asserting his independence from his parents. He also has Down Syndrome.
I hope you pick up the book and that as you read Alex’s story you will find yourself cheering him on because deep down we are all the same. We love, we cry, we laugh, we struggle and ultimately, we decide.
