Although Gatekeeper’s Daughter doesn’t come out until December, I’ve been working on its sequel for quite a while now, hoping that my readers will love the first book so much they will be eager for a second.

Gatekeeper’s Daughter is a middle-grade underwater fantasy and it was crucial to keep the world fresh in my mind while I created another story within it. In this way I would ensure the story’s authenticity.

The simple reason I decided to write the sequel is because I felt compelled to. It’s a story of pirates and treasure, family and friendship, courage and strength. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do!

  1. Sometimes if I prefer a quick read a stand alone book is really enjoyable, especially on vacation or during a busy time. Other times a series is better as I learn more about the characters and their lives, hopes, dreams and challenges.

During the past year I have enjoyed all of your books. Penelope is my favourite! Your descriptions of her life, challenges and joys made her very real!
